Not quite awake, I just wait. I do not always trust myself between the dream and the morning. Sometimes on my way to the surface, shrugging off the familiar, frightening attractions of dreamworld, I hesitate. Something that lives in the depths of the unconscious begs me to reject the new day, the awakening, the return to normal. Stay here whispers a voice that I am afraid may be my own.
